This Specialization takes you from writing your first line of C# to deploying a containerized .NET application on Microsoft Azure. You build language skills, web framework skills, and cloud delivery skills.
Each concept is reinforced through step-by-step hands-on demonstrations that you can follow along on your own setup, pause, replicate, and practice at your own pace.
By the end of this Specialization, you will be able to:
● Write object-oriented C# using classes, collections, LINQ, and asynchronous methods.
● Build and secure REST APIs with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and PostgreSQL.
● Develop interactive web interfaces with Blazor components, forms, and routing.
● Containerize and deploy .NET applications to Azure with Docker and GitHub Actions.
This Specialization is designed for a diverse audience: aspiring .NET developers, backend and full stack engineers, developers moving to C# from Java, Python, or JavaScript, and .NET Framework developers modernizing to current .NET.
Basic programming knowledge is recommended. No prior C#, .NET, Docker, or Azure experience is required.
Build the C# and .NET skills behind enterprise backends and cloud services, and finish with a deployed application you can show.
Applied Learning Project
Learners will begin by building a console application to practice C# fundamentals, OOP, collections, LINQ, file handling, async programming, and testing.
They will then develop a full-stack web application using ASP.NET Core, EF Core, PostgreSQL, JWT authentication, and Blazor.
Finally, they will transform that application into a cloud-native solution — containerized with Docker, deployed on Kubernetes and Azure, and enhanced with observability, CI/CD, and AI services.
