In this Specialization, you build basic English communication skills through everyday themes such as technology, shopping customs, nature, sustainability, psychology, and social media. You practice vocabulary, reading, listening, grammar, and conversation as you learn to make predictions, shop in English, describe nature, discuss future plans, talk about past actions, and use countable and uncountable nouns. Across the courses, you move from practical daily communication to culture, environment, people, and ideas.
Applied Learning Project
You will complete weekly readings, conversations, reading comprehension checks, Language Bite practice, graded quizzes, and Conversation Café discussions that help you use English in context. These activities give you repeated opportunities to understand short texts and conversations, build topic vocabulary, practice grammar, and share your ideas with other learners.
