Think Outside the Inbox: Email Marketing is the fourth of eight courses in the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate. This course will explore how to execute a successful email marketing campaign. Email marketing is one of the oldest and most proven digital marketing channels, and it is an essential component of an overall digital marketing strategy. Email is a primary channel for many businesses in reaching existing customers, encouraging interaction with the business, driving purchases, and building loyalty. In this course, you’ll explore email marketing and cover topics like: creating an email marketing strategy, executing email campaigns, and measuring the results of those campaigns. You’ll also learn how to use mailing lists and utilize automation and workflows. Google employees who currently work in the field will guide you, providing hands-on activities and examples that simulate common digital marketing and e-commerce tasks while showing you some of the best tools and resources used on the job. Learners who complete the eight courses in this program will be equipped to apply for entry-level jobs in digital marketing and e-commerce. No previous experience is necessary. My least favorite course. Email Marketing focuses' equally on the content as much as they do the metrics. However, I found the final quiz of this course to not be worded to be easily understood. The scenarios were not easy to grasp, whereas the previous module quizzes were. It has been the only final quiz I have failed 3x with the same grade (75%) and had to wait to retake, while my prior quizzes of this module were 80s and 90s.

Way to much fluff. There was some good information in the course but They padded it with too much stuff that wasn't related to marketing. This entire course could have been a single article.

Frustrating to get definitions wrong on the tests that the instructor said wrong to begin with. Confusing wording in general makes these tests tough for this course.

this is about emails until it's suddenly about math! if you have any trouble with numbers, this will come out of nowhere and ruin your day like it did mine.

Very outdated. Projects are poorly explained, and templates are rudimentary. There is no teaching, no way to ask questions, no way to gauge your skills or progress--it's all fake. Everything gets "100%" as long as you answer that you did it-but no of way knowing you did it right or well. The explanations that follow each "project" are below basic, and not remotely enough to truly help answer questions or check one's work. The supposed guides to help you learn any programs are truly awful--whatever I want to know, I will have to learn on my own.

Nothing of value to learn here. It's a huge waste of time and money You'll learn more for free off of youtube, which you'll have to do anyways if you take this course since it teaches you nothing.
