Generative AI was practically broken in bits for us to really comprehend . You just have to pay attention so you don’t mix the tools and their functions up. Thank you Coursera 🙏🏼 Jennifer MGBEKEN

I really wanted to like this course, but I didn’t :( it was really, really slow. It kept repeating the same irrelevant things over and over in different formats and I felt we made zero progress. The beginning felt like watching advertising videos. The videos in general were very superficial listing concepts that were never explained. They could have explained the concepts instead, you used super experts and the power of a super expert is that they are able to explain difficult things to a 12 yr old in one sentence. I would have wished that instead of long irrelevant lists spoken aloud. The exercises/tests were mainly testing whether you can memorise completely irrelevant things by heart, e.g. names of AI that can be used to make music or videos, but this was a course for project managers. Luckily I had taken another course with the university so I was able to apply that knowledge for some of the questions that were never explained in the course material but popped up in some of the exercise. I would have wished a lot more like that university course, really explaining the concepts behind the gen AI instead of the long lists of concepts never explained and long lists of different AIs to be memorised by heart. Also, in different uses of AI in this course for project managers I don’t remember you touching project management even once. Instead there was medicine, marketing, music, videos, pictures…..so, uselfulness for my work was quite low unfortunately :( also, Claude was never mentioned, and I find that most useful for project manager in daily work. Instead, a lot of tools for image manipulation and music were covered in many instances. So yes, I would have wished a different content for this course.

I have mixed feelings about the course. Exercises are fun, but the course didn't provide almost any new information for me. I'm working in IT so I could hear a bit of theory before the course. And I've used ChatGPT/Gemini couple of times out of curiosity. So I wouldn't say that I'm experienced with AI. There were few details that course explained but how knowing what "GPT" stands for can help me to use GenAI effectively? The course provides a lot of info, which, I think, is widely known. It provides tons of different examples of how GenAI can be used, without any details. Like, it claims that GenAI can be used in fraud prevention, but how? Instead of explaining few real-world examples, the course keeps bombarding with new and new examples. At the same time the content felt overwhelmingly repetitive, especially in the first module. I've got that GenAI can generate text the first time! I'd expect courses to be more academic, here I've heard a lot of buzz words. Reading includes duplicated paragraphs, which makes it obvious that materials were not properly revised.

This course packed all the important information into videos and had little to no written reference material to go back to and learn from or use as a clear roadmap. As someone who does not learn well from video instructions, I found it very difficult to get the information I needed. I wish there were more written resources, especially for which LLM is best for each use and what their limitations are.

Very basic input, the questions from the quiz are very poorly made, I answered them, they were deemed wrong, I checked with Chatgpt and Chargpt agreed with my answers (!). The text is from the questions is confusing and can be interpreted in different ways. Also there is outdated data already as generative AI ia improving extremely fast. Overall an ''ok'' course for extreme beginners.

The videos showed too much information about too many applications in a very compressed video. Had a hard time keeping track of so many similar applications. Examples were cool. Wished it was more mobile-friendly. Hard to do the course on the go. Had to wait to get home to do this were I have too many distractions.

This is my OPINION: Nicely prepared material but way to outdated. Part of Lab exercises is not working (I mean in https://labs.cognitiveclass.ai) a Dall-e model(s) are not functioning (I have submitted a ticket and the problem was not solved after a few days, maybe will be later).

Unimpressed. More IBM marketing than I expected. If you want a something focused on "look at some of the neat things you can do with Generative AI in 2023" then this might be right for you.

AI narrated slidedecks, repetitive expert interviews with strong accent, unrelated video and image filling material. tests are too easy (purpose?). low learning per time ratio
