Here is what your team will build: • Docker Image & Container Operations Build and run Docker containers. Manage images, volumes, and networking across the full container lifecycle. • Kubernetes Cluster Deployment & Scaling Deploy on Kubernetes using pods, services, & deployments. Scale and evaluate cluster architecture for production. • Multi-Container Management with Docker Compose Orchestrate multi-container applications with Docker Compose. Manage service dependencies, networking, and persistent storage. There are only quiz tests, any hands on.
Nice to learning
It's a good course, but I would check what is asked in the assignment and what is taught in the lessons: some questions were asked ahead of time, and others topic where not explained at all. I have some experience in Docker so it wasn't a big deal to me, but it could be overwhelming for someone who is not as skilled.
I would like some hands-on activities. For someone who just wanted a quick run-through to pick up any items missed and already knows docker this is an adequate overview. For someone new needing more detail this would be too high level.
As a brief overview in a short time GREAT. But if you expect a bit more, for example to install the equipment and really try out the technology on a field. Or test on a real cluster / vm so that the knowledge is really validated... You won't get that. The course, from my point of view, spends too much time on docker software. It should be preparation for CKAD not swarm. I also didn't like the voice and diction of the teacher. I don't want to end on a negative note, so once again... As a brief overview in a short time, the course is great!
I didn't feel that the information was presented in a logical order. Also, the presenter was very hard to understand. His sentence structure was bizarre. It was nearly impossible to read the manuscript. I'm not confident that the instructor was always correct. A lot of time was allocated for docker swarm, which isn't used very much any more. I think this video was created in 2021 and things have changed. Regardless, the course does give the student a basic understanding of containers and container orchestration.
This in no way even begins to prepare you for a Kubernetes Certification. The videos consist of 2-3 minutes of discussion of a concept which could be written in a 2-3 sentence paragraph. This was a complete waste of my time.
Poor inconsistent content!
