Marc-Oliver Pahl is Full Professor for Cybersecurity at IMT Atlantique, where he leads France’s largest industrial cybersecurity research initiative—the Cyber CNI Chair—uniting IMT Atlantique, Télécom Paris, and Télécom SudParis. His expertise lies in secure distributed microservice architectures, federated learning, cyber-physical anomaly detection, and immersive cyber operations interfaces. Marc-Oliver holds a habilitation and a PhD (summa cum laude) from TUM, where he received multiple awards for research and teaching excellence. With over €5M in funding, 58+ peer-reviewed publications, and 300+ student supervisions, he bridges academic rigor with real-world cybersecurity innovation. He is President elect of the ACM Germany Chapter, Board member of the German Informatics Society (GI), and the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future (GFA), Associate Editor of Q1 and Q2 journals, and a frequent organizer of high-impact events such as TALK.CYBER and the Future-IoT PhD School. A recognized eLearning pioneer, his MOOCs and lab courses have reached over 10,000 learners worldwide.
