Graduates earn a Master of Arts in International Relations, Security and Strategy from O.P. Jindal Global University. The qualification is the same as the on-campus degree. The programme has two intakes each year, in April and October. Students can complete the degree in 12 to 24 months, depending on their pace and study schedule.
The programme is delivered 100% online through Coursera and is designed for flexible study alongside work and other commitments. Learning includes self-paced study, live and scheduled sessions, group-based work, and assignment deadlines. Students should plan for approximately 12 to 15 hours of study per week.
There is no application fee. The programme overview currently lists total tuition as INR 3,00,000 ($3,400 USD), and international learners pay the local-currency equivalent on the date of payment.
Applicants need an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university in India or abroad. A prior background in international relations or the social sciences is not required, and work experience is not mandatory.
Applicants must submit their undergraduate academic history and a valid government-issued ID. Indian learners can use documents such as Aadhaar, passport, PAN card, or voter ID. International learners must provide a passport or other government-issued ID.
Yes. The final semester includes a dissertation track for students who want to pursue independent research. The programme is taught by experts and practitioners from the Jindal School of International Affairs, including former ambassadors, policymakers, diplomats, and national security specialists, and graduates receive JGU alumni status.
